Hospitality Days: Clay Pigeon Shooting and Simulated Game Shooting
Enjoy some time at Manor Farm, Hinxworth for a day of clay pigeon shooting or simulated game shooting. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, a hen or stag day or entertaining clients, Stutley Brothers can guarantee you an enjoyable experience. If you are new to the sport or want some guidance to improve your technique, you can engage our CPSA-qualified instructor for some tuition. Our professional instructor has over 16 years’ experience and can provide tuition at all levels including novice, junior and advanced and for ladies.
Depending on whether you want a full day’s shooting or half a day, we will tailor the occasion to suit you, including a hearty breakfast, a leisurely lunch or a relaxed afternoon tea for your party. Hospitality days are for a minimum of four people and prices start from £90 per person for half a day’s shoot. A full day for eight people, including breakfast on arrival and a three-course lunch, would cost £150 per person.

 Musto
Musto joins our range in the shop and on-line. Adding some colour to our variety of countrywear, we have some fabulous down jackets - in navy for men and in red for women. Flannel shirts come in red and yellow checks and colourful Moorland polo shirts are in ‘geranium’ - a stunning bright pink. The Ladies’ Hamilton jacket in ‘sloeberry’ - a rich deep rusty red – is certain to be popular for the autumn.
We have in stock the more traditional shooting wear such as
the GWCT jacket, sporting breeks, country over-trousers and
the retriever’s vest. These items are stylish, comfortable and
excellent value.

 Welcome to our new on-line shop
This season sees a variety of traditional, high-quality suppliers such as Seeland and Zeiss launching new products at more competitive prices. This is great news for our customers and we have featured some of these items on the page opposite. In sourcing new suppliers, we chose Musto for their excellent quality clothing combined with competitive pricing. We can order almost anything from Musto so if you are looking for something specific that is not in the shop or on-line, just ask us and we will obtain it for you.
Our brochure-style website was so successful in selling our range of products to people in Australia and beyond the Hertfordshire boundaries (which wasn’t in our original plan when we created the website!) that we have added an on-line shop. It’s been a while in development and we are gradually adding more products to the shop. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please call us - we can take your order over the phone and mail clothing
and accessories to you. You will notice that the all the prices on the website show a
saving against the original recommended retail price making it easy for you to see
how much you are saving.

Successful Charity Clay Pigeon Shooting Day
Over 80 people attended Stutley Brothers’ charity clay pigeon shooting day in June and raised £1,500 for Help for Heroes. Many competed for high gun, ladies’ high gun and under 16’s high gun prizes and the winners were:
- Ron Clements for high gun
- Christine Anderson for ladies’ high gun
- Jake French for under-16’s high gun
We plan to hold another charity day in the autumn and will keep you posted in the newsletter and on our website. |
 Jack Pyke – A quality-assured range of shooting clothing
If you are looking for camouflage clothing for country pursuits, try the Jack Pyke range. The company has developed a fabric pattern which is ultra-realistic to English Oak, containing predominantly greens and browns.
The Hunter’s jackets and trousers come in two colours: English Oak Camo and Hunter’s Green. The stealth fabric is breathable, waterproof and silent. The jacket has a concealed hood, pockets with cartridge holders, hand-warmer pockets and a fold-down waterproof seat flap.
